The La Brutta ZIN Petite Sirah from Nugan Estate Winemaking:

The La Brutta ZIN Petite Sirah is a blend of robust red grape varieties that revel in warm climates. We harvest the grapes for this wine from two locations, Langhorne Creek in South Australia, and the Riverina in NSW. After harvest, the winemkaing team will then crush and chill the grapes. This is done in order to prepare for a cold soak and maceration.

The winemaking team, under the guidance of Chief Winemaker Daren Owers, will inoculate the parcels with a pure yeast culture. The team will pump over the juice four times daily to extract maximum colour and flavour. They will then transfer the wine to American oak hogsheads, where they will remain for fermentation and maturation for 18 months. The blended wine will then stabilise in a cool environment and go through earth filtering before we dispatch for bottling.
