Frasca’s Lane Chardonnay

We source the grapes for the Frasca’s Lane Chardonnay from Victoria’s cool climate wine region King Valley.  As soon as the winemaking team pick the grapes, they gently press them. The fruit for this wine will go through harvest during March. The grapes will then endure a long, cool fermentation in stainless steel vats & French oak barrels. The wine is left to mature in French oak for 12 months, where the team will batonage monthly.  And they do this to add complexity, and enhance fruit and oak integration, prior to final blending and bottling.

Winemakers Comments

This wine is pale straw in appearance with a youthful green hue. It has aromas of peach and also nectarine, with mixed spice overtones. This Chardonnay presents a rich mouth filling palate of stone fruit biscuit and yeast notes. Additionally, you will also notice the wine has a crisp acidity. This acidity will complement the generously full fruit flavours on the palate.
